Caterpillars are our 2-3 year old children. They have a large and bright room led by Nicola, a Level 3 Early Years Educator. The children have extensive resources and equipment to use, together with the Sensory Room, adjoining role play area and cosy reading zone.
The door to the outdoors provides free flow to the garden, mud kitchens, wooden house and woodland. The children wear Scandinavian waterproof suits and wellies and are often found jumping in puddles, rolling down hills and making mud pies. We also spend lots of time teaching the children to ride bikes – trikes, balance and pedal bikes too.
Butterflies are our 3-4 year olds. They have a large and bright room led by Rachel, our experienced Deputy Manager. Rachel enjoys working with the 3-4 year old children and plans focused activities that are fun and also prepare the children for their next stage in education – school! She also has a passion for the outdoors and makes every opportunity of our extensive outdoors. The Butterfly children also use the Scandinavian suits and wellies and spend much of their days outside too.
